
Olde English Faire Returns to Wildlife Prairie Park
The annual Renaissance Faire at Wildlife Prairie Park will return at the end of June.
HANNA CITY, IL – Knights, jousters, merchants, and more! The Olde English Faire will begin on June 22nd at Wildlife Prairie Park and run until June 24th, 2018. Admission to the faire will include live performances and full-contact jousting by the Knights of Valour, as seen on the History Channel’s Full Metal Jousting. Merchants will be also set up throughout the Special Events area within Wildlife Prairie Park selling olden time goods, food, trinkets and specialties.
Admission to the fair is $10.00 for adults ages 13 and up, ages 3-12 is $6.00. Ages 2 and under will enter the event for free. All guests are subject to special event pricing and $5 parking. As a special thanks to all Wildlife Prairie Park members, free fair admission will be granted on Friday! Just be sure to bring your valid Park membership card and photo ID. Group pricing is available but must be secured before June 8th, 2018 and is valid on Friday only. NEW THIS YEAR! Happening on Friday for children to learn about the medieval era from the Knights of Valour and it’s all included in your admission for the day. Come to one or come to all four of the following presentations starting at 10am; Siege Weapons, Birds of Prey, Arms and Armour, and Life of a Knight. We will end with a Friday joust at noon. The fun isn’t just for the kiddos though! Join the King at his first ever feast. The kingdom’s finest entertainment will put on a show while guests can enjoy a lavish meal in the privacy of the exclusive King’s Feast. The feast will be $40 and includes admission, special edition souvenir, reserved seating in the 3pm joust and must be reserved ahead of time. The King’s Feast will take place at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday, June 23rd and 24th and tickets can be purchased online.
The Olde English Faire is a unique experience that transforms Wildlife Prairie Park into a medieval setting that will bring you back to the ages. Guests are encouraged to dress for the theme of the fair in any kind of medieval costume ranging from pirates, princesses, and peasants to fairies, jesters, and knights and will also receive a dollar off the regular admission price.
