Have you seen this challenge going around social media? The premise is that a group of people poses in some way, but ultimately frozen like mannequins, and then a video is taken. It SOUNDS weird but it’s really cool! It looks like an interactive 3D photo, except that these people are actually trying their hardest to stand still! Everyone from the Chicago Bears to Paul McCartney, and even the First Lady are participating!

Yes, it is set to a rap song you can find on our sister station, Peoria’s 92.3, but that’s part of the video. I guess the first challenge started with the song “Black Beatles” (which is why Paul McCartney getting in on it was so fabulous) by Rae Sremmurd, so it’s become part of the challenge. The rapper, himself, even took part at one of his shows!

I pulled our whole building together for some sister-station love and we went studio to studio, checking out the odd scenes in each. And… well, to be honest, it was a LOT harder than it looks! I was the director, recorder, and editor of our video, which is why the only part of me in it is my hand as I’m opening doors, but I caught a LOT of people off guard as I first walked in the studio, so my whole continuous shot was kind of ruined. I did a little creative editing, though, so it still serves its purpose!

What do you think of our video? Have YOU done one? We want to see it! Post it on our Facebook page!
