The Tremont Turkey Festival celebrating our Hometown Heroes is THIS week in Tremont, IL June 9th- June 12th!
From a Pageant to a Parade and with Strawberry Shortcake, a craft show, tractor pulls, and of COURSE the Tremont Turkey Festival Turkey Toss all in the middle, you’re sure to find some family fun in Tremont this weekend! Check out ALL of the events (because there are a TON of them) at the website HERE, and make sure come hang out with Jim and I as we will be there from 11-1 judging the Turkey toss and generally having an awesome time!
There will be no shortage of food, as their menu is mouthwateringly delicious. What headlines the menu? TURKEY SANDWICHES, of course, but save room for the famous Strawberry Shortcake, or even the Strawberry Smoothie, which will be a great way to keep cool on Saturday!
If a little competition is what you’re after, there’ll be a ton of that, too! There’s a Horseshoe Tournament that starts at 8:30am on Saturday, with the finals at 1pm. An electronically timed 5k race starts at 7:30am on Saturday, and I’d bet a turkey sandwich that there will be some racing turkeys in costume to make your morning enjoyable as a spectator. Or how about trying your hand at BED RACING for a $100 prize?
There’s definitely going to be something for everyone at the Tremont Turkey Festival this weekend, so make sure you put it in your calendar NOW!
