This Sunday, December 13th the Peoria Playhouse Children’s Museum celebrates Kwanzaa as part of their new program, Celebrate Peoria. Celebrate Peoria is designed for families to discover and celebrate the diversity of Peoria and Central Illinois. Each month, the Playhouse will celebrate a different culture.
Sunday’s activities include Adinkra Printing, Mancala, Kwanzaa stories and an African Drumming Demonstration by Dr. Ama Oforiwaa Aduonum of Illinois State University.
