With Veteran’s Day approaching, this is the perfect time to express our community’s gratitude towards the United States Military. For the second year, Peoria/Bloomington McDonalds will do that through the second annual “Buy One, Give One. McCafe Coffee for Our Military initiative.
For every cup of coffee sold through November 15th, Peoria/Bloomington McDonald’s will match it, and send a cup to our active and veteran military members. The McCafe coffee will be sent in the form of fresh coffee grounds so the recipients can brew it fresh whenever and wherever they would like.
Along with the coffee donation, a selection of letters from Central Illinois – area schools will be included in the care packages. Every school in the area will have the opportunity to create and write these special notes that are cherished by the troops.
But that’s not all. McDonald’s is giving you a chance to win free McCafe coffee for a year. On Wednesday November 11th Nash FM will be broadcasting from the McDonald’s in the Levee District of East Peoria. During that broadcast we will be giving clues to the whereabouts of the very large McCafe coffee cup. Be the first to find it and return it to us during our broadcast at McDonald’s and you will win free coffee for a year.
