Dolly Parton has canceled her planned Las Vegas residency as she continues treatment for ongoing health issues. In a video shared with fans, the 80-year-old singer said she is improving and responding well to medication and treatment, but she is not yet physically ready to return to the stage.
Parton said her doctors have told her that her conditions are treatable. She mentioned issues involving kidney stones, her immune system, and her digestive system. She also said some of her medication has left her feeling dizzy, making it difficult to safely perform in heels while carrying instruments onstage.
The residency was originally scheduled for December 2025 and was later moved to September 2026. The shows have now been canceled rather than postponed again.
Parton said she remains active with other work, including music, video projects, Dollywood, a planned Nashville museum and hotel, and her upcoming Broadway musical. She thanked fans for their support and said she is continuing to heal.
