Over the summer, we had the honor of being apart of the first annual Run/Walk for the fallen and their families with America’s Gold Star Families. I can honestly say, it made one of the biggest impacts of my life that I have ever experience in my life. I was able to meet families of soldiers who lost their lives protecting our freedoms, and it was something I will never forget.

And that’s the goal. Never forget the men and women who serve our beautiful country! And, never forget their families. Without these people, our lives would be a lot different.

So, Patti with America’s Gold Star Families has gone down to Springfield and flexed a little muscle to make sure the men and women who have fallen are honored with “The Fallen Heroes Tree of Honor!”

You can create an ornament remembering your hero and it will be placed on the tree in Springfield.

All ornaments submitted MUST be non-breakable for easy storage and annual use  submit ornaments representing their fallen hero with the following criteria:

loss of life during active duty
MIA’s (Missing in Action)
representing all conflicts
ornament should contain info of name, DOB-DOD
optional info–rank, branch of service, conflict, nickname, picture
send all ornaments with return address and phone number
(this is to communicate with you in the event of lost/broken ornament)

A 14 ft. artificial, donated tree with LED lighting will be used to showcase our heroes!
