I'm a sucker for proposals, so I can appreciate the thought this guy put into his, but I'm not sure that making his girlfriend believe their plane was going to crash is the most romantic way to do it! The pilot's name is Ryan Thompson, and he took his girlfriend Carlie on a sightseeing flight over Chicago in a small 4-seater plane. The two of them were having a great time, laughing and taking photos, when suddenly, their plane took a nose dive. This was all part of Ryan's plan, and he even had a hidden camera planted in the plane to record Carlie's reaction. As the plane is going down, he hands her an "emergency checklist" and tells her to read it to him. It included the instruction: "Pilot in command. Determine if he is a good mate. Note: He will always love and honor you.” In the video, you can see Ryan reaching into his pocket for a ring, while Carlie reads the last command on the checklist card: “Will you marry me?” I would have punched him as soon as the plane touched the ground, but, I guess I can't fault him for his creativity.
