No More Twinkies?
11:32AM Friday
November 16, 2012

They have been around for 82 years. Twinkies, cupcakes, fruitpies, ho ho's, ding dongs, not to mention Wonder, Butternut bread and Dolly Madison. I grew up on this stuff. My parents grew up on this stuff. And now, because of a labor strike it's all going away.

Chief Executive Officer Gregory F. Rayburn said today in an interview on Bloomberg Television. “We just didn’t have enough workers crossing the picket line.”

Hostess will fire most of it's 18,500 employees and it's shipments of breads, snake cakes and other products will end once their supplies run out.

It's not known if another company or baker will pick up the Hostess brand. So get your Twinkies and Ding Dongs now before they're all gone. And get some extras too. After all, I think they have a shelf life of around 20 years.
