Well the big game is this Sunday! Do you watch every year or just if your team is in it? I have a couple good friends who are 49'er fans so I guess that's my obligation this year. Expectations are that about 179 million people will be watching, even if it's just for the commercials. More and more it has become about what to EAT that day. Stats show that Superbowl Sunday is the second biggest food consumption day of the year behind Thanksgiving.

Some facts on Superbowl Sunday food:

- over 69.6 million pounds of avocados will be consumed

- over 14,500 tons of potato chips will be consumed

- over 4,000 tons of popcorn will be consumed

- over 100 million pounds of wings will be consumed

And to follow those stats, anti-acid sales typically see a 20% increase on the Monday following the Super Bowl ... six percent of Super Bowl viewers call in sick the next day.

Maybe we should adjust our work calendars so that Superbowl Monday becomes a floating holiday.....
