It was no illusion when David Copperfield's plane had troubles and was forced to make an emergerncy landing in Bartonville.

It happend around 2:30 this morning when his plane made an emergency stop at Byerly Avation in Bartonville. Copperfield was on his way to a taping of the Today Show

"We made a emergency landing here in Peoria on the way to do the Today Show. "We were up in a private plane flying to New York and we heard this sound at 37,000 feet and it was very frightening for us, so we decided to land. we spiral landed in slowly and we are right here."

Copperfield was still able to make his television appearence via Skype.
